Amanda was born and raised in Milwaukee. She attended Franklin High School, graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, and University of Wisconsin- Law School.

While at the University of Wisconsin Law School, Amanda zeroed in on criminal defense. She spent two years working with the Wisconsin Innocence Project assisting clients with complex post-conviction issues and trying to free people from prison. During her third year of law school Amanda worked with the Public Defender Clinic where she started litigating cases in court and fighting tirelessly for her clients.

After law school, Amanda spent seven years with the Milwaukee Public Defender’s Office. While there, she handled nearly every type of criminal case. In 2021 Amanda won the most prestigious award in Wisconsin – the Martin Hanson Memorial Advocates Prize: an award given to attorneys who win homicide trials in Wisconsin. She won this award for achieving a not guilty on an Abusive Head Trauma homicide. Amanda has litigated virtually every type of motion issue, and prides herself for striving to find new, complex issues to litigate.

Because of her successes in the courtroom Amanda has been asked to present at trainings for other attorneys on now to handle OWI cases. In addition to her other wins, she is known for using creative strategies and creative legal arguments to achieve amazing results for her clients charged with drunk driving.

Amanda is well respected by her colleagues. She is known for being a passionate, zealous, advocate who believes in doing whatever she can to assist her clients in achieving the best result possible.
