Patrick was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He went to Wauwatosa West High School, Bradley University and the University of Wisconsin Law School. During his time at Bradley University, Patrick competed in Division I cross country and track and earned several awards and honors in both sports. While earning his undergraduate degree in Political Science, Patrick also developed an interest in criminal justice and law.

While in law school in Madison, Patrick quickly developed an interest in criminal law, and in particular, criminal defense. During law school, Patrick worked as a law clerk for Judge Ralph Ramirez in Waukesha County Circuit Court. In his second year of law school, Patrick joined the Prosecution Project clinic at the University of Wisconsin and was placed in the Portage County District Attorney’s Office.

Upon graduation, Patrick began work as an Assistant District Attorney in Sheboygan County before returning to Waukesha County to work as a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s Office in November 2021.

Before joining Kuchler & Cotton, Patrick handled a caseload consisting of felony and misdemeanor cases of all types. Patrick’s caseload as a prosecutor consisted of a substantial number of OWI/PAC cases. Patrick tried several jury trials as a prosecutor, including OWI/PAC cases, Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, and many other charges. Patrick’s experience as a prosecutor has provided him with invaluable trial skills as well as an understanding of the process involved in issuing a criminal charge.

Patrick is committed to achieving the best result for each and every client of his. Patrick is willing to go above and beyond for clients and will be sure that all defenses are explored and that the prosecution is held to its burden. Patrick’s experience as a prosecutor in Wisconsin has provided him with significant insights and appreciation of what is required to prove a criminal case.
